Baby... It is Cold Outside

Well, cold is a good thing if you are a penguin! I saw these adorable penguins at the Silhouette Store, #36410, and thought they would look very cute with Peachy Keen Stamps' Faces.  The image was re-sized to approximately six inches.  This card can fit in a standard business envelope.

Tree Treats and Blog Candy

Hello! I was able to squeeze a little craft time in this weekend. These Tree Treat Boxes are a cut from a Silhouette Store design, scalloped tree box. I decorated the trees with gems and my Peachy Keen Face Stamps, PK-485 Snowmany Faces. Personally, I think any Peachy Face would look darling on these trees. They are so sweet, I can't wait to give them to my friends. And in honor of Kathy's birthday, there is some blog candy up for grabs open until the 19th HERE.

Decorating Cookies

I had such a fun time "decorating" these gingerbread cookies. The cookie tin is from Joanns and had an owl on it.  I thought the bowl of gingerbread cookies, PK-151 Gingerbread Bowl, would be adorable on the lid for Christmas cookies.  The gingerbread were really fun to decorate with white gel pen, paint, copic markers, gems, and glitter glue.  I found the recipe for gingerbread in my stash, DCWV's Mrs. Claus' Kitchen, and put the recipe card form Mrs. Claus behind the bowl.  I should make some paper cookies to put inside, he he...

Snowman's Winter Wishes

This card is made with the CUTEST Snowman stamp! He is from Peachy Keen, PK-153 Snow Me a Man.  The set has sentiments and "snowman extras" (mittens, a heart, and coal buttons for stamp options).  The practical side of me loves stamps that you can get different looks with by switching options. AND you have a chance to win this stamp set over at the Peachy Connection!  You will need to make a project with word art background and a snowman as a focal point. The challenge is open until December 9, 11:59 CST.  Here is my sample, and I hope I get to see your projects too!
I added twigs from the backyard for his arms...

Snowmen Ornaments

Happy Friday! It is time for another Peachy Keen Challenge.  This week's challenge is to make an ornament for your tree. Be sure to link up your project by 12/12 - 11:59 pm EST at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog. For my project, I embellished pre-made snowflake ornaments with Snowmen from Cricut's Winter Frolic Cartridge.  Their faces are from Peachy Keen, PK-480 and PK-144.  I actually cut all the pieces in white card stock and used markers and ink to change the color of the layers. I find that small pieces work well with this method.

Peachy Keen December Challenge

I created this project for the Peachy Keen December Release Party.  The Peachy Connection has two challenges up with a chance to win some of these high quality stamps!  The first challenge is to make a project with a drink on it.  I used the champagne bottle from the December Stamp of the Month set.  The banner and "Happy New Year" sentiment are also in the same set.  I place these elements on a rosette from the Cricut cartridge, Ribbons and Rosettes, and added some star cuts from the same cartridge.

Peachy Keen December Sneak Peak!

Good Morning! I have two cards to share that feature the NEW Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month stamps form Peachy Keen Stamps.  Darling stamps for celebrations, New Years, winter, and more sweet faces are included in this stamp set.
For  my first card, I stamped the martini glass and "cheers" sentiment.  The background is a cut from Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge.

My next card is a birthday card for a belated birthday.  I love the single candle's expression inside the card, he looks a little upset about missing the actual birthday.  The card base is a SVG file that is available at Lori Whitlock's store, Flip Swing Card Set 3

Be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Blog this week for more projects featuring the new stamps for December 2012.  And mark your calendars! The Release Party is on December 5, at the Peachy Keen Connection Site, 6 pm CST.

Fluff Those Feathers

Shape card projects are the challenge at the Peachy Keen Bog this week.  The Challenge- make a card with a shaped base (anything but a square or rectangle).  Be sure to link your card by December 5, 11:59 EST.  For my card, I used the new Cricut cartridge Folk Art Festival.  This cartridge has some elegant shaped card bases and as the name implies, folk art cuts.  So here is my "country hen" with her "fluff those feathers" message.

Card out for publication-

Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum

Happy Weekend!  I stayed up last night playing with  my Cameo and Christmas SVG cut kits.  The drum is from Santa's Visit kit and the base of the drum is surrounded by toys cut from the Christmas morning kit.  The drum from the kit was perfectly sized for a 4 in pot and went together very easily as I have found with the kits I have purchased from the SVG cuts store.  I sized the toys to fit around the base of the drum.  My family is big into decorating for Christmas but my 85 year old dad is slowing down a bit.  (although he put up his Christmas decorations on the outside of his house all by himself....Grrr) I made this project with my dad in mind, thinking it would be a nice centerpiece for his coffee table.

Autumn Mini

I just finished decorating this adorable autumn mini shape album that I purchased at SVG cuts, Acorn Autumn SVG Kit.  I don't own a big collection of their files (yet) so I added a few cuts from my Cricut and my Peachy Keen Stamps to embellish this mini album.

The cover cuts are from the SVG Kit and I added the scarecrow
from the Peachy Keen Stamp Club, PKSC-09

The tree is is from Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge.
The pumpkin in the wagon is from Peachy Keen, PKSC-10.

The Owl and Squirrel are from Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge.
The squirrel's face and the sentiment stamps are from PKSC-10.
The animals at the petting zoo were not hungry...
therefor the journal tag "stuffed?"

The hamster is from Four Legged Friends Cricut Cartridge.
His face is a stamp in the PKSC-10 collection.
(I wanted to go the the pumpkin farm with the corn maze
and hay rides. I was vetoed by the kids
wanting to play in these hamster balls.
Nothing says fall like hamster balls, LOL)

The pumpkin boarder can be found on the Paper Trimmings by Cricut.
The cutie chipmunks are stamps in the PKSC-10 kit.

The papers for my album are from last year's Target Dollar bin and the Basic Grey's Shine On Collection.

So Sweet

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving! I have a thank you card to share today. The challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to make a thank you card. You can check out the cards and challenge HERE.  I have a wonderful neighbor that is "so sweet" to me and my girls. The base of this card was welded with my Gypsy and is the jar cut from Doodlecharms. (I chuckle every time I use Doodlecharms because I bought this cartridge thinking "this will be the ONLY cartridge I will own.") The bee is from Pooh and Friends and his face is from PK-122 Funny Farm. "So Sweet" is from Once Upon a Princess. I hand cut the shadow at the base... my friends call this process "Cricut surgery". LOL

Thanks for stopping by- Enjoy all the fun this weekend!

I - Challenge

Imaginisce is having some challenges this weekend... I was interested in playing along so hit my local scrapbook store after work on Friday to pick up some of the cute papers from Imaginisce.  No luck.  But, my little gal and I found some paper at Michael's of all places!  Check out the details of the Challenges HERE. Entries are due by November 21, 2012.

Challenge #1 Sketch Challenge:
Pattern Paper- Imaginisce Cottage Christmas,
 Gingerbread Village, Winter Woods

The paper from the Dig Dino's Collection had most of these colors. I even made a custom button with my I-top tool.

Happy Fall Banner Frame

Peachy Keen Thankful Hop, click Here

This week Fantabulous Cricut is hosting a challenge to use your Cricut and include "fall Leaves".  Be sure to check them out, there are some inspiring projects from the design team and challenge entries this week.  For my project, I used Birthday Bash for the banner pieces.  They are hung with mini clothes pins so I can switch them out for the seasons.  This way I can store the banner pieces in a box and not worry about the banner getting tangled up. The fall leaves and images were cut with the Cricut Imagine with the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge.  The Imagine is a wonderful machine and, knock on wood, has been a pleasure to use!  I added a few stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps and this project is ready for Fall!

Peachy Keen Thankful Blog Hop

Hello! You should have arrived from Ruthie Nixon's Blog, if not, head to the start at the Peachy Keen Blog.  I don't want you to miss any of the special projects made for this thankful hop.  This is a wonderful time of year to get together with family and friends.  My family meets at my "humble" house for Thanksgiving which requires us to set up extra tables.  I made crayon box place holders for the kids mini card table. Yep, that is "Melissa" that gets to sit on the mini fold up chair. All 5 foot 9 inches of me! (I am Thankful that I can get out of this chair, LOL) My sister picked up some activity books so us kids can color the night away.

"Thankful for you!" is included in PKSC-10
and was used used on this centerpiece.
You can join the Peachy Keen Stamp Club
and save on your stamp sets and have them delivered
to your home every month!

These crayon boxes are cut on my Silhouette using 3-D crayon box
and decorated with PK-141 Lil Tweets Thanksgiving stamps.
The images were cut using the matching SVG cut file PK-SVG-141.
I just love the font that Kathy picked
out for the "Hip Hip Hooray It's Turkey Day!"
Candy Alert!
There are THREE $50 gift certificates to Peachy Keen Stamps up for grabs from the artist that creates Peachy Keen Stamps, Kathy Jakopovich! For Challenge #1, you need to make a tag.  I made a tag for my "handsome buck" with the new
PKSC-11. You can join the Stamp Club and save on your purchase of these BIG stamp sets.
This darling deer is in a frame cut with Joys of the Seasons Cricut Cartridge.

For Challenge #2, make a project with a snow flake.  One of my other hobbies is decorative painting... and I bought these porcelian ornaments to paint.  I thought I would try distress ink on them and that worked very nicely.  The dear has the same face used on the tag above... but with a different nose.  I love the mix and match factor of Peachy Keen's Stamps.
Deer is from Create a Critter 2, cut at 2 inches
